Special Needs Dogs

The dogs below are animals that need special attention. These animals may be heartworm positive, in need of medical treatment, have separation anxiety or any other condition that affects their physical or emotional well-being.

My name is Reggie and I'm a loving, special needs guy looking for my forever home.

I'm considered a special needs dog because at just six years old, both of my back knees aren't doing so good because of my genetics. The good news is, with pain management and physical therapy, my issues are very manageable! I will need some long-term care and an owner committed to continuing my laser therapy every three weeks. The laser therapy I receive at Four Paws Rehabilitation has done wonders for my mobility and it is very affordable.

My knees don't stop me from enjoying life and it even gives me a very special wiggle when I walk. I always have a big smile and I adore people. I especially love treats like bones and things to chew on. I could live with feline friends, children, and possibly dogs if we met first!
