Moira Needs Your Help!

At the Humane Animal Treatment Society, we often see animals who have been failed by the world before they ever reach our doors. Moira is one of those souls.

Moira, a gentle 3-year-old girl, arrived at HATS as part of a massive 22-dog intake from a single property. She spent her first few years as a victim of backyard breeding—never knowing the warmth of a home, the comfort of a full bowl, or the kindness of a gentle hand. In her former "pack," she was frequently picked on, leaving her shy and uncertain when she first walked through our doors.

Despite everything she has endured, Moira’s spirit remains unbroken. We quickly discovered she is as sweet as honey and lives to please. In her foster home, she has truly blossomed, learning for the first time what it means to be loved.

The Setback

Unfortunately, Moira’s journey to health has hit a significant hurdle. What we initially thought was a persistent UTI turned out to be much more complex.

After X-rays and an initial procedure, our Health Clinic confirmed that Moira is suffering from a uterine stump infection. Tissue from her previous spay has adhered to her bladder, causing constant discomfort and recurring infections. While we are incredibly relieved to share that the mass doesn't appear to be cancerous, it is still life-threatening if left untreated. Without a specialized surgery to remove the tissue and repair her bladder, Moira faces a lifetime of pain and severe long-term complications.

How You Can Help

Moira was failed by people at the start of her life, but we refuse to let her be failed now. We want to give Moira the world, but we need your help to do it.

Because this surgery requires a specialist, the cost is estimated at $4,000. Currently, our Colton Fund for Special Needs Dogs—the fund that allows us to take on these extraordinary cases—is not enough to cover the bill.

Will you be the hero Moira deserves?

Every dollar donated goes directly toward her $4,000 surgery and recovery. Your gift ensures that Moira can finally live a life free of pain, resting easy on a soft couch instead of struggling just to survive.

(Please remember to select "Colton Fund" at checkout to ensure your gift goes directly to Moira’s care.)

Thank you for being the safety net for dogs like Moira. We couldn’t do this without you.

Moira is so brave and sweet. It’s amazing how much a little love can change her. I was playing Drift Boss but this post caught my eye, so I had to stop and read it—wishing this sweet girl all the happiness in the world!

The story about Moira really touched me, especially how collective support can make a real difference in someone’s life. It reminded me of a fundraising event I joined during my student days where even small contributions added up to something meaningful. At that time, I was overwhelmed with deadlines and even looked into online class assistance, which made me appreciate how important it is to step up and support others when they need it most.

I love how the post highlights Moira's journey and her need for support! It speaks to community strength in gaming. Have you considered featuring more player stories who have also faced challenges? That could really resonate! What do you think level devil would be the best way to get those voices involved?

It is so sad to hear about Moira's past especially coming from a backyard breeding situation like that. Three years is a long time to go without feeling safe or having a full bowl of food. Sometimes when I am just sitting at home playing Unblocked Games I realize how lucky we are and how much these animals deserve a real family. I really hope someone with a gentle heart sees this and gives her the home she finally needs.

Spent a couple hours on Pokiig last week going through the puzzle section. A few of the games were more engaging than I expected — kept telling myself one more level and then lost track of time.
